| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
This 3-year, international research project has arguably generated outcome at the level at which I as the Principal Investigator planned to achieve at the time of submitting the proposal. Over the course of the funding period, this project has resulted in publishing five journal articles and two academic books (the books are published by Routledge Publisher, one of the most globally circulated academic publishers). The project also enabled me and my international researcher collaborators to organize and conduct a total of five international symposiums/forums, both in Japan and abroad, and delivering eight conference presentations, including invited keynote speeches, among others. These specific outcomes are all achieved through effective international and interdisciplinary collaborations as planned at the time of designing this project, which will be an important resource for the future research projects. While the number of peer-reviewed journal articles remained somewhat meager, overall I believe the achievements of this project has made a significant contributions both to the relevant academic literature in gerontology and to broader society including policy making in the area of older worker, retirement and pension reforms.
