Outline of Final Research Achievements

I have two results of this research. The first is making of boardgame named "Fair Trade Sugoroku" for teaching materials on global inequality and poverty. The second is making of a workshop material on “Diversed foreigners in Japan” regarding multicultural inclusion. For that purpose, I have visited many areas such as Hokkaido, Gunma Prefecture, Tokyo, Kawasaki City, Toyota City, Shiga Prefecture, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture, etc.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

本研究は、社会科教育研究における多文化と格差社会に関するアクティブ・ラーニング教材開発研究としての独創性を有する。なぜなら、日本国内における多様な外国人とその子どもたちの生活や学習の課題に焦点を当てた教材化や、グローバルな格差を引き起こしているサプライチェーンにおける不公正な取引とその是正を目指すフェアトレードについて具体的な「すごろく」の教材化をはかることで、社会科における認識だけではなく課題解決に向けた思考のあり方や態度形成の重要性を提案しているからである。
