Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Donor-Acceptor (D-A) type organic conjugated compounds which show intramolecular charge transfer (ICT) emission have been synthesized, and their possibility for application to organic electronics was investigated. Phthalimide derivatives linked with suitable electron donating units show ICT emission. N-Trifluoromethylphenylphthalimide derivatives form noncetrosymmetric molecular arrangements and show emission upon mechanical stimuli. We succeeded in preparing the extended derivatives exhibiting high solid quantum yields and thermally activated delayed fluorescence. Other D-A type compounds with dibenzophosphole oxides and acenaphthylene compounds have also been synthesized and their photophysical properties were investigated.
