Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
There was progress in developing a new algorithm for increasing the specification of the camera array, from heterogeneous specification to all high specification. The new algorithm is based on scale invariant polynomial expansion method that can detect dense correspondences for estimation of displacement or disparity in heterogeneous camera array, independent of sampling densities and field of views. In this algorithm, the multi- resolution and frame rate multiview images are converted to high resolution and frame rate multiview images. The simulation are conducted for several combination of resolution and frame rate. The results confirmed the effectiveness of the method. Meantime the camera with high depth resolution was used to capture data that can be used through experiments planned for the next year.

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.
Reason
There were expectation to of having an international conference paper from the result of this research. Instead we have a short paper.
|
Strategy for Future Research Activity |
In this year, I am planning to use AI technology in my research to compare with current deterministic method I have applied.
|
Causes of Carryover |
This remaining fund will be used for initiation of collaboration with external institutes outside of Japan. Some extension of the current system is needed.
