Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
This project saw the initial inclusion of several years of data, initially collected from 2009 through 2014. We successfully added new data in the first two years of this three year project. This year in particular saw the finalization of the data gathering, as well as the first of the main analyses. These analyses revealed very interesting patterns in the relationship between overall population trends and the behavior of individuals. Because of this, our analyses resulted in the inclusion of the preliminary analyses into a broad, global meta-analysis of global dormancy patterns in herbaceous perennial plants, which was also published in March in the journal Ecology Letters.

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
1: Research has progressed more than it was originally planned.
Reason
Everything is going very well! The initial analyses all looked very good, and so the resulting inclusion of those results in a paper this year was an unexpected bonus.
|
Strategy for Future Research Activity |
In this current year, the plan is to finalize all remaining analyses and write up the final paper. I also anticipate presenting the final results this year at two research conferences, one of which will be held in June. As the analyses are quite detailed and work-intensive, I will also bring in my graduate student to help with the analyses.
