Outline of Final Research Achievements |
I examined the physiological mechanism of secreted protein by psycho-social stress in mice. Male C57BL/6J mice given by social defeat stress showed social avoidance behavior with increase plasma level of protein "F", which was an important cytokine for energy expenditure. Exhaustive analysis revealed that mRNA expression of "F" was increased in liver, and that beta-adrenaline blocker inhibited protein "F" secretion under the stress. These results suggest that psycho-social stress secreted protein "F" from liver by sympathetic nerve activation or adrenaline in mice.
