Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
本研究では、ダイヤモンドアンビルセルを使用して高圧力を発生し、13C同位体を使って合成したダイヤモンドのラマンスペクトルを取得して圧力スケールを構築することを目的とした。まず、ダイヤモンドアンビルセルを搭載できるステージと、高圧力下でラマン測定ができるシステムを構築した。続いて、13Cダイヤモンドのラマンスペクトルを12GPaまで測定した。これ以上の圧力では、ダイヤモンドアンビルセルに使用している12Cダイヤモンドのラマンスペクトルと重なってしまうため、この圧力が適用限界であることが示された。ラマンスペクトルの圧力依存性を多項式でフィッティングし、圧力スケールを構築することができた。解析結果をまとめ、発表の準備をしている。また、本研究はマントル中のフルイドに関する実験への適用も目的としていた。高温高圧下でNaAlSi3O8-H2O-NaCl系の熔融実験を行い、融点を決定した。また、この際の液の化学組成に制約を与えることができた。その結果、系にNaClを含む場合と含まない場合で融点が異なることを明らかにした。これにより、海水で変質し、塩を含む海洋プレートが沈み込む際のフルイドの挙動を考察することができた。さらに、地球内部に運び込まれたフルイドは含水鉱物中に取り込まれる。我々は以前、ダイアスポアの高圧相としてInOOH型のδ-AlOOHを発見し、地球深部に水を運び込む重要な物質であることを提唱した。本研究では、InOOH型およびDiaspore型の酸化水酸化物について、高温高圧力下でX線回折実験を行い、状態方程式を決定した。これにより、地球深部での水の挙動とその果たす役割について考察することができた。以上の研究成果を踏まえ、マントル中のフルイドの物性と挙動に関する研究をさらに発展させるために、科学研究費補助金と高エネルギー加速器研究機構の実験課題を申請している。
