Molecular recognition by the surface electrical charge control under the solar-light irradiation and photocatalytic selective hydrogenation

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究課題では、太陽エネルギーを利用し、高効率かつ選択的な水素化反応を駆動とする、全く新しい機能をもった光触媒を開発することを目的とした。具体的にはプラズモニックAgナノ粒子とその表面に高分散に担持されたPdナノ粒子からなる二元系合金ナノ粒子触媒を設計した。表面プラズモン共鳴誘起効果により、隣接した触媒活性Pd種の電子状態を制御することで特異的な分子認識能を発現させ、水素化反応速度の飛躍的な加速ならびに選択性の向上を狙った。
28年度はAg-LSPRの特異な光吸収特性を利用し、光照射下でAgナノ粒子を活性化させ、相互作用したPd前駆体を還元固定化する光析出法により様々な触媒を合成した。さらに調製した触媒の性能を、室温・可視光照射下、選択的水素化反応にて評価した。ここでの課題は、それぞれの触媒が高効率かつ高選択的にプロダクトを生成する反応条件の探索である。溶媒、触媒量、基質濃度といった基本的なパラメーターを変えるだけでなく、得られた結果を触媒の設計・開発にフィードバックし、それぞれの触媒が各反応に最適な性能を発揮できる触媒と反応条件の組み合わせを提案した。
29年度は触媒の構造・物性解析を主に行った。具体的にはXRD、SEM、TEMにより触媒のバルク構造を解析した。また、XPS、IR、XANES/EXAFS等を用いて、触媒活性種近傍の微細構造と触媒機能の関連を明確にした。種々の分光学的手法を駆使した触媒活性種近傍の微細構造に関する知見と触媒機能の関連性を解明することに成功した。以上の成果をフィードバックし、更なる高性能光触媒の設計指針とする。
