Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We developed a Tactile Biofeedback System to support blind football players improve their technical skill. 1.The establishment of a standard motion model for blind football kick: The standard motion model was established based on averaged data obtained several highly skilled football players. When blind football players train kicking skill, this model would enable to be a reference as a good motion model. 2.Development of a Tactile Biofeedback System: The system is composed of a notebook computer, inertial measurement units, and a tactile graphics display. The system can draw a moving stick figure on the tactile graphics display. The user can receive feedback immediately after kick performance and compare with the standard motion model. 3.Using the system to ball kicking practice: We experimentally introduced the system into ball kicking practice of blind football players. There was no significantly differences in biomechanical parameters between pre and post intervention.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
