Outline of Annual Research Achievements

In the previous fiscal year, I studied the behavioral implications of reference-dependent and/or multi-stage choice procedures. I successfully characterized several variants of such behavior. Four major results has been achieved.
The first model I studied is the partially dominant choice model. I characterized this procedure with multi-dimensional interpretation of incomparability. The paper based on this result have been accepted for publication.
The second model I examined is the single stage multi-dimensional reference-dependent choice procedure. I have successfully provided characterization results. The paper based on this results has been accepted for publication.
The third achievements I have made is about the generalization of extension theories of binary relations, which serves as theoretical basis for revealed preference analysis of bounded rationality models. I have submitted the paper to a journal.
The fourth results I achieved in the previous year is the characterization of two-stage reference-dependent choice procedure. I have summarized the results in a paper and will present the paper in an academic conference.
Besides, in conference and workshops, fruitful discussions with researchers in the field opened avenues for further development.

Current Status of Research Progress
Current Status of Research Progress

2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.

Reason

The research is progressing rather smoothly for the following reasons.
Firstly, discussions with domestic and oversea researchers in conferences and workshops are fruitful.
Secondly, results have been summarized in several papers and some of them have been accepted for publication.
Thirdly, the achievements in the previous year lay the ground for further research in this year and beyond.

Strategy for Future Research Activity

I plan to follow the research plan and investigate variants of two-stage reference-dependent models. I will present the results in several conferences and workshops.
I will begin the study on the welfare implication of non-standard choice behavior by the end of this fiscal year.

Causes of Carryover

Budget will be needed for presentations on several international and domestic conferences/workshops. Besides, language editing services are needed before submitting papers to journals.

Expenditure Plan for Carryover Budget

To promote the current research, expenses will include travel cost for conferences/workshops and fees for language editing services.
