In FY2018, I was the guest editor of the second special issue on the Regionalization of the Asian Automotive industry for the journal IJATM, and a book chapter on the evolution of the Japanese automotive industry since the 2000s was accepted for publication in 2019 (COVARRUBIAS, RAMIREZ. New Frontiers of the Automobile Industry - Exploring Geographies, Technology, and Labor Challenges. London/New York, Palgrave). I was invited as a key speaker at the 6th Conference on Empirical Issues in International Trade and Finance, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Dehli, and to give a talk at the 2nd International Symposium of Innovation-Driven Development, Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou. Besides I gave 4 talks in international symposiums and seminars.
