Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究の目的は、大マゼラン雲の超新星残骸 (SNR) について星間分子雲 (CO) 及び原子雲 (HI) を精査し、星間雲と熱的・非熱的X線放射との比較を通して、衝撃波-星間ガス相互作用と、宇宙線電子の加速機構を明らかにすることにある。当該年度は、ALMA 電波干渉計で得られた CO データ (空間分解能 ~0.4 pc) の解析、並びにX線や可視光などのデータとの比較研究を中心に進めた。以下に具体的な研究実績を示す。
(1)SNR N103B の ALMA CO データを解析し、シェル南側に付随する分子雲を特定した。この分子雲は膨張速度 ~5 km/s の膨張構造を示す。また、Hαのノット構造に付随する分子雲クランプも見つかった。これらは SNR 中心から外側に向かって吹き流されたような構造を持つ。この解釈として、N103B は質量降着風により形成された wind-bubble 内で爆発し、今まさに分子雲の wind-cavity と衝撃波が相互作用しているというシナリオを提案した。これは、N103B が single degenerate 起源の Ia 型超新星爆発で形成されたことと矛盾しない (Sano et al. 2018, ApJ, 867, 7)。
(2)SNR N63A の ALMA CO データを解析し、サイズ ~1-2 pc の分子雲塊を11個特定した。これら分子雲塊は、SNR 内にある衝撃波電離起源の可視光星雲に埋め込まれるように分布している。この方向のX線スペクトルは、熱的プラズマ成分に加えて、power-law 成分もしくは高温プラズマ成分でよく再現できる。このことは、衝撃波と分子雲塊の相互作用により、磁場増幅を伴う効率の良い宇宙線電子加速、または衝撃波電離が起きていることを示唆する (Sano et al. 2019, ApJ, 873, 40)。
