Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
Using of monolayer graphene as the contact material of Graphene Nanoelectromechanical(GNEM) switch, we have effectively controlled the interfacial stiction and pull-in voltage of GNEM is reduced to sub-1 V by utilizing the double clamped monolayer graphene beam. Thus, we succeed to achieve the clear pull-in and pull-out switching operations of Graphene-Graphene NEM contact switch with pull-in voltage of 0.8 V, switching slope of less than 10 mV/dec at room temperature, on/off ratio greater than 10^5, and more than 100, 000 switching cycles.
Graphene and CO2, C6H6, NH3, O2, and CO molecules van der Walls (vdW) complexes interaction was clarified by the first-principles study and experimental results of Graphene-CO2 vdW complexes are consistent with the first-principles results.
