Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The aim of this study is to investigate whether the cancer antigen-specific cytotoxic T cells (CTLs) established by iPS technology could eliminate colorectal cancer. Mature CTLs regenerated by specific iPS cells were established from specific T cells for cancer antigen WT-1. We found that the mature CTLs could induce apoptosis of colorectal cancer cell lines (SW480, SW620, T84). Currently, we are investigating this effect using CTOS (cancer tissue-originated spheroid) cells established from surgical resection specimens.
