Colon-26マウス直腸がん細胞埋め込みモデルを作成し、抗癌剤cisplatinおよび5-FU単独投与とL-carbocisteine併用投与における腫瘍増殖を経時測定することで血管新生阻害剤としてのL-carbocisteineの有用性評価を行った。Cisplatinおよび5-FUはそれぞれ単独でvehicleと比べ有意な腫瘍増殖抑制効果が見られたが、L-carbocisteineの併用により、相乗的な増殖抑制効果が見られた。
