Outline of Final Research Achievements

We made cohort database of radiation decontamination workers of one radiation decontamination company and subcontract companies. We put the data of health checkups and external radiation exposure.
Among workers, there were some employees who was first detected the health problems requiring treatment. For radiation exposure, we revealed there were significant difference of radiation exposure between working process in each working field.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

本研究において、除染作業に従事する人の健康管理の現状について把握することが可能となった。除染作業においては多くの報道が存在するが、その現状について学術的に検討したものは今までほとんど存在しておらず、1事業所を対象に長期的な追跡が可能となることは、実態を把握する上で価値がある。また、被ばく線量については、低線量下での作業であっても作業内容等によって被ばく線量が大きく異なるため、長期的な健康影響を観察するためには、詳細な個々の線量測定が必要であることが示唆された。
