Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We purchased Sectm1a KO sperm from University California, Davis(UC Davis)and created Sectm1a hetero KO mice in RIKEN TSUKUBA Campus followed by crossing them in our faclity. We succeeded in breeding Sectm1a KO mice stably in our facility. To the best of our knowledge, there has been no report in which Sectm1a KO mice were used and thus our preset study could provide novel insights to further elucidate the mechanisms through which host immune sytem works during pneuococcal pneumonia.
