Outline of Final Research Achievements |
To examine anti-inflammatory effect of maresin 1 on skin inflammation, we used imiquimod-induced psoriasis model. Maresin 1 attenuates imiquimod-induced skin inflammation through regulating IL-17A production by γδT cell and Th17 cell. Maresin 1 downmodulates IL-23 receptor expression on these cells by RoRγt and IL-23 receptor internalization. Therefore, our results show maresin 1 inhibits imiquimod-induced skin inflammation through these mechanises. We plan to analyze additional anti-inflammatory effect of maresin 1 on other skin inflammatory disease models.
