Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We have shown that physical activity during growth period may affect morphological changes in the mandible using by a mouse voluntary climbing exercise model. In human specimens, morphometric analysis between high ranked warrior and townspeople in the Edo period and between races in modern women (Japanese and Spanish) suggested that differences in masticatory muscle movement may affect morphological changes in the mandible.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
