Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We stimulated periodontal ligament (PDL) cells and gingival fibroblast (GF) cells by tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), and evaluated the mRNAs expression of IL-34 and CSF-1 by Realtime PCR. As the result, the expression of IL-34 and CSF-1 were increased by TNF- α in PDL cells and GF cells. We got mRNA from infected granulation tissues of patients with periodontal disease, and evaluated the expression of mRNAs by Realtime PCR. The correlation between inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α, IFN-γ and IL-1β and osteoclastogenesis factors such as IL-34 and CSF-1 was not confirmed.
