短腸症候群モデルを用いて、小腸粘膜の炎症と腸内細菌叢との関連を調べた。グアーガム投与によって短腸症候群モデルの小腸粘膜の炎症が抑制され、腸内細菌叢の異常が是正される効果があることが示唆された。
