Outline of Final Research Achievements

This study aimed to analyze the political and social significance of women's community group in northeast Thailand. It conducted the fieldwork on the activities and relationship among women who joined in community group in rural village. Considering how rural women participated in a community activities, this study showed their roles to create the political and social presence in rural community administration.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

本研究は、タイ東北部農村における女性住民組織を経済的な成功を目的とする経営体としての側面からのみ捉えるのではなく、その活動を通した女性たちの地域コミュニティにおけるより公共的な役割や意義を考察することに学術的意義をもつ。またそのことを介して、タイ東北部農村女性の労働と家庭の両立をバックアップするための方途を、当該女性たちとの連携のなかで模索するという社会的意義をもつ。
