平成29年度は、本プロジェクトを推進するうえで避けて通ることのできない二つの概念、‘the world’と‘human experience’を、リチャード・ローティとジョン・マクダウェルの議論を対比的に手がかりとすることを通じて掘り下げた。その結果、human natureを人間（human）の側から一方的に解釈するのでもなく、自然（nature）の側から一方的に解釈するのでもない位置づけ方に、一定の道筋をつけることができた。
本年度には、以下の3本の論文を執筆した。1.‘The Social, the Natural and the Educational; 2.‘Human Nature and Education in the World of Reasons’；3. ‘On What We Call the World and Human Experience: Rorty, McDowell and Nature-Normativity Relation Revisited’。 来年度以降、順次、出版予定である。
また、本年度中に論文1本を上梓した（Misawa, K. (2017) ‘Humans, Animals and the World We Inhabit-On and Beyond the Symposium “Second Nature, Bildung, and McDowell: David Bakhurst’s The Formation of Reason’, Journal of Philosophy of Education, 51(4), pp. 744-759.）

| Strategy for Future Research Activity |
平成30年度は、本プロジェクトの最終年度となるため、前年度までの積み上げを踏まえて、（1）自然概念の再検討、（2）人間本性（human nature）を教育という観点から再照射する、という二つのテーマに重点的に取り組む。その過程で、学会発表を2度、研究会での発表を一度行う予定である。
