Research Abstract |
In most people, Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is maintained without specific manifestations, but is occasionally associated with various malignancies including lymphoma in immunodeficient hosts and gastric carcinoma. Previously, we have reported that EBV-encoded non-coding RNA (EBER) plays critical roles in oncogenesis. In this research, we have demonstrated that EBER exerts its oncogenic activity by utilizing an innate immunity system.
