Research Abstract |
An herbal medicine Juzentaihoto activated bone marrow-derived macrophage/microglia and enhanced clearance of senile plaque amyloid. We established a new monoclonal antibody 3.4A10, which recognized a conformational structure of Aβ42, reduced senile plaque amyloid as well as Aβ oligomers, and improved cognitive functions without enhancing cerebral micro-hemorrhages. This is expected to be used as a disease modifying antibody.
