新医用形状記憶チタン合金アクチュエータの結晶方位配向化による高機能発現

Research Abstract

平成17年度に得られた結晶構造に関する知見を元に,低温相(斜方晶)の双晶構造の解析ならびに形状回復の結晶方位依存性を理論・実験の両面から明らかとした.透過型電子顕微鏡による組織解析ならびに無拡散相転移の結晶学理論による解析によって形状回復変形のジオメトリーを明らかとした.これにより任意の結晶学的方向に対する形状回復歪みの上限値を知ることが出来た.またいずれの組成においても<110>方位付近に最大引張歪み,<100>方位付近に最大圧縮歪みを示すことが分かった.この様に結晶学的解析によって形状回復変形が示す結晶方位依存性を明らかとした.
集合組織(配向方位)形成条件を明らかとするため,組成,冷間圧延率,熱処理温度を系統的に変化させ,発達する集合組織を詳細に調べた.その結果圧延率97%以上の強冷間加工を施した後に高温相(β相,bcc)域において再結晶させると極めて強く配向した集合組織が得られることが分かった.配向方位は組成依存性を持っており,Nb濃度の高いTi-22Nb-3Alにおいては{111}<112>が発達し,Nb濃度を低下させたTi-16Nb-3Alでは{011}<100>が得られた(いずれもβ相の指数で表示).いずれの方位においても圧延面内に回復歪み最大方向を有しており,例えばTi-18Nb-3Al合金においては最大6%の回復歪みが得られることが分かった.さらにこの様な配向方位の違いは圧延時の相(低温相もしくは高温相)によって決まることがわかり,熱間圧延などを利用することによってある程度発生する集合組織を選択できることも明らかとした.
このように平成18年度においては結晶構造・双晶構造のジオメトリーと組成依存性を明らかにするとともに,形状回復に有利な集合組織が発達する加工熱処理条件を見出し,チタン基形状記憶合金の形状回復量を向上させるための組織制御・材料設計指針を明らかにした.
