Research Abstract

ニュートリノのマヨラナ性を検証すべく、^<48>Caのニュートリノ放出を伴わない二重ベータ崩壊を探索する装置、CANDLES III(U.G.)の建設を神岡地下実験施設にて行った。大阪大学(地上)に建設したプロトタイプ装置を用いて性能評価を行い、特にバックグラウンドの低減・エネルギー分解能の向上に関して、要求される性能が得られることを示した。また、将来のさらなる感度向上につながる^<48>Caの低コストの同位体濃縮研究にも着手し、わずかではあるが、実験室レベルでの濃縮に成功した。
