| Research Abstract |
To establish the neuronavigation system in rehabilitation medicine, we have evaluated MR diffusion tractgraphy in healthy adults and patients with central nervous system (CNS) disorders. Risk factors of asymptomatic ischemic stroke, and the changes of cerebral blood flow during study effects in fine upper limb movements by fNIRS were monitored in healthy adults. Furthermore, to determine the upper limb function in patients with stroke, reliability and validity of Manual Function Test (MFT) has been evaluated in healthy adults and patients with stroke.
Study of the MR diffusion tractgraphy showed significant effects on detecting small CNS lesions, which could not be showed by routine MR images, by tracing the neuronal fiber from the cerebellar dentate nucleus. As risk factors study, increasing plasma fibrinogen was highly related to asymptomatic ischemic stroke. This study has been also clearly demonstrated that MFT is a noble evaluation method for the upper limb function in hemiplegic patients with stroke.
These results will be helpful for the survey, diagnosis, and therapy in future rehabilitation medicine.
