Research Abstract

世界に6箇所しない大型の高強度レーザーを用いて、宇宙物理などで極めて重要な無衝突衝撃波の生成の物理機構の解明と粒子加速の研究を理論的、実験的に行った。本事業により、従来の衝撃波生成のための外部磁場が内場合でも、プラズマ流の磁気不安定による、線形から非線形、最終的な自己構造形成により無衝突衝撃波がどんな条件下でも生成されうることを示した。同時に、英国、仏国、中国の大型レーザーも用いた国際共同実験体制をこの4年間を通して構築することができた。
