Research Abstract

1.全光論理ゲートデバイス 半導体光アンプ集積マッハツェンダー干渉計型(SOA-MZI)の全光ゲートについて,ハイメサ導波路の加工技術を向上し,また低濃度ドープクラッド層の導入を通じて,導波損失を大幅に低減した.
2.全光フリップフロップデバイス 多モード干渉結合器双安定レーザ型(MMI-BLD)の全光フリップフロップについて,縦単一モード動作とカスケーダビリティの確保のため,分布ブラッグ反射器(DBR)を導入した素子の試作を行った.試作したDBR-MMI-BLDにおいて,副モード抑圧比23dBの完全単一モード動作を達成するとともに,1520-1570nmの広い動作波長範囲,26dBという高いスイッチング消光比を同時に得ることに成功した.
3.全光フリップフロップデバイスの動特性評価 試作された全光フリップフロップの動特性評価を行い,10ns幅の光パルス動作において動的消光比16dB,立ち上がり時間320ps,立ち下がり時間470ps,動的動作波長範囲1540-1570nm,という良好な特性を得た.
4.デジタル全光集積回路プロトタイプの解析・設計 全光論理ゲートと全光フリップフロップで構成される基本的な全光パケット処理回路を構成し,全光処理によるパケット転送の実証実験を行った.10〜40Gbpsのペイロードを有する光バケットに対し,ペナルティーフリーの全光スイッチングが行われることを確認した.
