Research Abstract

本年度最大の研究実績は中国チベット高原から新種エキノコックスEchinococcus shiquicusを発見、新種記載したことであろう(Xiao N et al. 2005,2006)。中国四川省石渠(shiqi)県に分布しているチベットギツネとクチグロナキウサギからそれぞれ成虫、幼虫が発見され、遺伝子解析の結果これまで世界から報告されている4種のエキノコックスからほぼ等しい距離で遺伝的隔離が起こっていること、北半球の同地域に分布している他の2種のエキノコックス、多包条虫ならびに単包条虫とも生殖隔離が起こっていることが確認された。同時に北半球に分布している3種エキノコックス条虫の中で最も起源が古い種であると結論付けられた。ヒトへの病原性の証明が今後の課題であり、同地域の病院で外科手術を受けた症例の肝病巣についての遺伝子解析が日中共同研究として始まった。遺伝子解析に必要な技術開発も進展し、ミトコンドリア遺伝子のみならず、核のサテライト遺伝子解析手法を確立し、今後入手できると予測されるサンプルについての遺伝子解析の準備は整った。病原性の確認に必要な診断法に関しても多包虫症、単包虫症それぞれに関する現在世界最高水準の血清診断法を確立(Mamuti W et al. 2006a, b)し、中国での疫学調査に利用した(Li T et al. 2005, Li T et al. unpublished)。
テニア症、嚢虫症に関してもインドネシア(Wandra T et al. 2006a, b)、中国(Li T et al. unpublished)、タイ(Thairungroj et al. unpublished)での調査が進展した。本研究代表者、伊藤が旭川市で開催した国際会議(文科省調整費)でこれらの実績を含む研究成果を発表しTaeniasis/cysticercosis and echinococcosis focused on Asia and the Pacific, pp.1-312. 2006. Elsevier Londonとして出版した。
