| Research Abstract |
コムギの近縁野生種であるAegilops muticaに、パンコムギの花粉を連続戻し交配して育成した「細胞質置換コムギ」には、正常な花粉が形成されないものや、穂の出る時期が遅くなるものがある。本研究は細胞質置換コムギの表現型に変化をもたらす原因を探ることを目的に、各種分子生物学的手法を用いて、ミトコンドリアのDNA、RNA及びタンパク質の分析を行った。研究期間内に原因を特定するには至らなかったが、候補となる3つの遺伝子領域が見出された。
