| Research Abstract |
本研究は甲状腺ホルモン(TH)による脳発達の調節機構とPCBなどの環境化学物質のTH系への作用解析を目的とした。そして動物実験と生化学的実験により, 分子から個体レベルまでの解析を目指した。動物実験では, TH作用にはRORなどの他の核内受容体や転写共役因子の発現が必要である事, 生化学的な実験で細胞内でTH受容体(TR)とそれらの物質が複合体を作っている事を明らかにした。また, PCBがTRに対し, "疑似ホルモン"ではなく, 従来とは全く異なった機構で作用している事を明らかにした。
