とりわけ、本科研費の中心的研究テーマとして、特許審決取消訴訟における審理範囲、特許無効審決取消訴訟とクレーム訂正、間接侵害、クレーム解釈、損害賠償、特許侵害訴訟における特許無効の可否という理論上も実務上も極めて重要な諸問題について研究成果を収めている。
