Research Abstract |
This research has been performed in a quite practical manner to promote a culture of security in Yamaguchi University by planning a program of the information security education and carrying it into action. The program is planned for all the first-year students and its content consists of (1) essence of information and its processing., (2) encryption and certification, (3) information security, (4) information morals, (5) compliance, (6) risk assessment, and (7) risk management and exercise. A detailed syllabus is prepared for this program and many courses based on this syllabus are offered for all the first-year students. Training courses for the information security have been held for three years in Yamaguchi University and their content has been recorded in a form of e-learning material which is utilized for the information security education. A content management system has been developed in order to enable suppliers to make e-learning materials easily and users to browse them on the Internet.
