Research Abstract |
We have finished photographing and digitalizing two thirds of all the educational scrolls (totaling about 200 items) and conducted preliminary research of preservation of original items. Through these three years' research, we could determine the procedures of photographing, digitalizing, and preserving educational scrolls. We have identified almost all the scientific items of the First Higher School by researches at the Institute far Physical and Chemical Research, Osaka University, Tsuchiura First High School, and so on. We have almost finished cataloging the administrational documents of the First Higher School and preserved the original items in envelopes and boxes specially made for preserving historical documents. We received the following groups of documents and started to cataloging them Kenkichi Mori Papers, Jun Koana Papers, Motoji Shibusawa Papers During these three years, we publicized the results of our research by organizing 6 exhibitions at Komaba Museum and 2 exhibitions at Komaba Library and cooperating with the National Science Museum.
