Research Abstract |
At first, "The criticis to representation of Okinawa" which I published in November, 2007 can be said to be the greatest result of this study. I considered postwar Okinawan literature in this book on three points in this study as I was clear. To the first point, In this book I clarified the literature significances about "the theory of anti-return and anti-nation state" in Okinawa of 1970's which thought have been most important critical issue until nowdays not only Okinawa but Japan. To the second point, I proved the possibility of de-construction of a norm about "Japanese" clearly through thorough reading and analysis on the concrete texts of post World War II Okinawan literature. And, for the third point, I proved a characteristic of the gender politics in the post war Okinawan literature and the physical politics through analysis on concrete literaly texts and history of Okinawan thought. In this process, I clarified in particular the political characteristics of the physical nature of men that drawn in the Okinawan literature after the World War II. And I reserched historic significance of the structure of the expression about "the sex slaves of the Japanese armed forces". This point is particularly important fruits in the whole this study. I was able to clarify the perspective and originality of the postwar Okinawan literature as post-colonialism literature through three points of above-mentioned consideration.
