| Research Abstract |
The purpose of the present study is to locate unstudied Shomonas and make a list.
(1) Survey-at-site The survey-at-site was carried out at the following libraries. Ochanomizu Library, National Archives of Japan, Kozanji Temple, Sakamoto Ryumon Library, Tenri Library of Tenri University, Osaka Prefectural Nakanoshima Library,Takeda Science Foundation'Kyo-u Library etc.

(2) Photocopies We requested and got photocopies of shomonos owend by following libraries:
Library of Komazawa University, National Diet Library, Library of gakusyuin University, Hosa Library, Library of Kyoto University, Tenri Library of Tenri University, Library of Kyushu university, Shanghai library etc.
(3) Bibliographical investigation We made bibliographical investigation into the shomonos, especially "Mogyu-sho (Commentaries of Meng qiu)" and "Wamyosyu narabini seizaiki (The Japanese Names of Medicinal Herbs and Phamaceutics)".
(3) List production We produced a list combining the Shomonos which had been surveyed by us, and published a part of the results of our studies in a journal "Shomono no Kenkyu".
