Research Abstract |
The purpose of this study was to restore the history of the occupation and the society that had been made up by the people of the sea villages in Oshu, associated with social economic environment of the early modern and modern in Japan, by rearranging and investigation of historical documents left in the area. This study excavates the historical documents which have been left in this area and arrange it as a database. In addition, this study elucidates the social image in the Oshu sea village and the natural, economic background, based on the analysis of that database. Therefore this study performed three next work. (1) Rearranging and the photography of “the Chida documents" which is huge historical documents left in Ryouri, Oofunatoshi, Iwate Prefecture. (2) The making of the list of the documents, and holding of the reportage meeting which used the list. (3) Analysis about the early modern Oshu sea village and writing of articles about it.
