| Research Abstract |
本研究は、電気通信市場と信書便市場を同じネットワーク産業という概念で捉えることで、電気通信市場規制に係る過去の知見・教訓を、信書便市場に適用し、同分野に対する規制の効率性を議論するための基礎的な知見とともに、広くネットワーク産業規制全般の効率性を産業横断的に比較評価する手法を開発することを目指した。研究の結果、電気通信政策データベースの雛型の作成、わが国電気通信市場での参入・料金規制の厚生インパクト分析などを行い、電気通信分野におけるわが国の政策経験を他分野(信書便市場)・他地域(発展途上国)に敷衍し、一定の政策提言を経済理論に整合的な形で導いた。
