| Research Abstract |
This research has been planned to clear the situation of volunteers in the institution for lifelong learning. Mainly three investigation has been arranged and the findings are as follows :
1 Investigation of part-time staffs of kominkan in Fujisawa city, Kanagawa prefecture. In this investigation, data have been showing that part-time staffs are learning as well as working, they are not only workers but also learners. This findings are very important like part-time staffs, volunteer staffs are not only working but also learning through their volunteer activities.
2 Investigation of volunteers in museums of the U.S.A. Data of volunteers activiies about ten museums from coordinator and volunteer by visiting and hearing in the U.S.A., volunteers are necessary for museum activities, and their existence are indispensable for management of museums.
3 Investigation of institution for lifelong learning-museums, libraries, youth centers, womens'centers, life-long learning centers, using questionnaires almost the same as 1998 investigation. More institutions, especially libraries have been adopting volunteers compared with 1998 data.
