Research Abstract |
We developed a new mobility control system using two types of Address. One address is unique ID which identifies the mobile terminal and is not changed by terminal moving. The other address is used to control packet routing and is changed by terminal moving. Address for packet routing is constructed by hierarchical manner. The system is configured by 3 types of node. One is mobile core router which is used for high speed packet transfer. Hierarchical routing address which is adopted in our system, contributes to speed up processing of packet transfer. Another is mobile edge router which is used to connect mobile terminal. The other is location management server which is used to register the position of mobile terminal. The server maintains one to one correspondence of two types of address for each mobile terminal. A mobile terminal can continue to communicate to the other mobile and/or fixed terminal while moving around within a domain. We newly developed gateway to connect between new mobile networks and IPv4 based Internet. A mobile terminal can communicate to the other mobile terminal in other domain by using this gateway. Proposed architecture described above is proved by experimental node and system.
