| Research Abstract |
With the introduction of accreditation by JABEE, engineering ethics education is becoming a compulsory subject in university engineering courses. There are, however, innumerable problems to be addressed. For example,
(1) the number of specialists who can teach engineering ethics is overwhelmingly small,
(2) textbooks on this subject have only recently been published, and
(3) the subject needs to be integrated into an already-congested curriculum.
In this paper, an engineering ethics education system using e-learning was developed as a means of dealing with the present situation. Teaching materials expected that were created also serve as supplements to lectures. Characteristics of this system are as follows:
(1) Students can study anytime and anywhere.
(2) Teachers can promptly alter teaching materials for which immediacy is required.
(3) Teachers can understand students' progress instantaneously, and students can easily ask questions and submit reports.
