| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
After several months since I arrived at JAMSTEC, we finally have received the experimental tank and materials I sent out from Monash University when I left Australia in June, 2017. Due to limited lab space at JAMSTEC, we have put them at ERI of the University of Tokyo for the moment.
During last year (June 2017-April 2018): I have processed the data of (two sets of) 22 experiments I have done at Monash University just before I left Australia. These experiments would result in three papers that will be submitted to scientifical journal. Furthermore, I have visited Monash University in February, 2018 to discuss the potential collaboration with Associate Professor Fabio A. Capitanio in regarding using numerical code and platform “Underworld” to research one part of my JSPS research proposal.

Reason
The research has been progressed as planned, in particular the data analysis and paper production, although experimental set-ups took longer time than expected.

I am going to strengthen/establish international collaboration with oversea research institutions, to speed up and deepen the research.
