Outline of Annual Research Achievements

Synthesis of chiral porphyrin dimers was completed and analysis of binding properties was made. The work was prepared as a manuscript and has been accepted for publication (Front. Chem. Sci. Eng). Catalytic properties of another porphyrin system were investigated and the work has been submitted for publication (ACS Catalysis). Multiple oxidation state molecule was investigated and the work has been published (Nat. Commun.). Asymmetric synthesis and sensing is now being performed on a series of chiral tetrapyrroles.

2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.

Reason

The sensing part of the project has been completed and the paper is in press. Catalytic investigations have been completed and the paper has been submitted for publication. Work on another supramolecular system has also been published. Other properties of the molecules have been investigated and manuscripts are in preparation.

Strategy for Future Research Activity

Catalytic and sensing properties of asymmetric derivatives will be studied. Further molecules for study are under preparation. Any results resulting from these works will be submitted for publication.
