Outline of Final Research Achievements

A huge amount of research results were obtained by collecting and examining overseas research information and translated books. These were edited and published in "Overseas Heian Literature Research Journal Vol.7 + 8" (electronic version: ISSN / 2188-8035) and "Overseas Heian Literature Research Journal << China Edition 2019 >>".
Regarding the translation of "The tale of Genji" around the world, it was confirmed that it was translated in 41 different languages.These research results are published on the homepage [Overseas Heian Literature Information] (http://genjiito.org), and the information is being updated steadily.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

平安文学に関する海外での研究情報や翻訳資料の総合的な調査と研究の成果を、「海外における平安文学の受容研究」として公開するものである。多言語による平安文学の翻訳をテーマとする、研究基盤の整備もおこなった。情報公開と発信基地の役割を担うものとなるように、日々情報の更新を重ねているところである。
今後は、ホームページ「海外平安文学情報」と電子版『海外平安文学研究ジャーナル』が有機的に活用されることが期待できる。NPO法人〈源氏物語電子資料館〉の支援を受ける中で、本研究テーマは継続的に深めていくことになる。
