Outline of Annual Research Achievements

ソフトマターは機能性材料の宝庫であるが,その複雑なマルチスケール性のため,分子動力学法や計算流体力学法など既存のシミュレーション法単独での適用が困難である.本研究では,後述する具体的な研究項目に対して,ミクロ階層を統計力学的手法によってメソ・マクロ階層に効率よく反映する粗視化モデリングや,同様のことを数値的に反映するマルチスケール・マルチフィジックスモデリングを適用することで,この問題の解決に取り組んでいる.さらに,最新の計算機(GPGPUや次世代スパコン等)を併用することにより,この技術を工学的応用問題に展開し,計算科学による次世代の材料・プロセス設計技術として広く一般化を目指している.

について,2019年度はそれぞれ新たに以下の知見を得ることに成功し,7報の論文,及び11件の学会発表として研究成果を公開している.
1)気液界面における棒状弾性粒子の運動を明らかにした.2)基板上を遊走する細胞の運動に対する細胞周期の影響を明らかにした.3)細胞コロニーの増殖ダイナミクスに対する在細胞分裂の接触阻害の影響を明らかにした.4)重力により基盤上に拘束されたカイラルマイクロスイマーの運動を明らかにした.5)2017,2018年度の成果を反映して公開したコロイド分散系の直接数値計算シミュレータ(ソフトウェア名 拡張KAPSEL)を元に,2019年度には更に機能を加えてより汎用的な問題に対応できるシミュレータの開発と公開を行った.
