Outline of Annual Research Achievements

1.2相問題に対し相転移がある場合とない場合それぞれNavier-Stokes-Fourier-Kortweg方程式を基盤とし質量保存、運動量保存、エネルギー保存、エントロピー増大条件を保つよう2相間のジャンプ条件を導出し、問題の定式化を行った。
2.R-有界な解作用素の存在を示し、作用素値積分掛け算作用素に対するL.Weisの理論を用いて最大正則性原理を示す方法をさらに発展させ、Navier-Stokes方程式の自由境界問題のみならず、磁気流体方程式の2相問題、Stefan-Maxwel-Navier-Stokes方程式の2種混合流体、液晶の運動に関するQ-tensor modelの時間局所解の一意存在定理を示した。
3.R-有界な解作用素の理論とゼロ固有値付近での方程式系のスペクトル解析を組み合わせ、減衰度を含んだ最大性正則性原理を示す方法を確立した。さらにこれを応用して、有界領域、外部領域におけるNavier-Stokes方程式の1相問題の時間大域的解の一意存在と解の漸近挙動を示した。
4.ミクロの視点からの圧縮性や熱交換を伴うナヴィエ・ストークス方程式の定式化が研究課題であるが、これには流体運動に加えて熱力学的な過程を考慮した変分構造の解明が不可欠である。特に熱力学的な過程は一般に非平衡かつ非線形な動的過程として与えられ、解析力学の基礎となるハミルトン原理からは運動方程式を導出する事はできない。2017年度はまず有限次元の非平衡熱力学系として熱の出入りピストンや、拡散現象などの変分構造を理解した。また変分構造に確率項を導入することを考察した。
5.自由境界面を扱う数値解析では弱解による定式化では十分でない。微分可能な解をとらえる為、滑らかな補間関数を用いることが出来る新しい計算手法であるアイソジオメトリック解析による混相流の数値解析の研究を始めた。

2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.

Reason

1.「6.研究実績の概要」で述べたことは申請時における1年目の構想をほぼ実現化したものであり、研究計画には無理がなく研究は順調に進展している。
2.自由境界面を扱う数値解析は技術的に困難であり確立した手法があるとは言えない。本研究では「6.研究実績の概要」の5で述べたアイソジオメトリック法の他、界面ハイブリッド化による有限要素法、および「6.研究実績の概要」の4で述べた研究で得られる変分法による定式化を離散化することを基盤とした粒子法の3つの方法を独立に研究した。上記3方法を必要に応じて融合し、数学としての数値解析という面のみならず、工学への応用を進めるため、学内の研究組織である熱エネルギー変換工学・数学融合研究所を2017年に立ち上げた。
3.国際的な研究協力による研究の進展という観点からは、早稲田大学で2つの国際研究集会、数理解析研究所での研究集会の開催を行い、多くの国内外の研究者の参加を得、申請時の初年度計画を実現できた。これを基盤に個別の共同研究という形も始動しつつある。 ただしピサ大学との研究連携において、研究代表者の体調不良によりピサ出張が実現できなかったことが2017年度の研究計画実現における唯一のマイナスである。
4.若手研究者の育成という面では、SGU数物系拠点において博士後期課程が開始され、数学・物理・機械工学を専門とする計6名の大学院生がこの博士後期課程に進入し、講義のみならず、国際研究集会の参加・発表、海外派遣などを通し国際的・分野横断的教育を行い、成果をあげた。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

1.マクロの視点からの流体解析研究では、「6.研究実績の概要」2・3で述べた方法をさらに発展させることで、Navier-Stokes-Fourier-Korteweg方程式の自由境界問題の初期値問題の研究を発展させるだけでなく、磁気流体、多種混合流体、液晶問題、血液流などへさらに研究を発展させる。
2.R-有界な解作用素と定常解の解析方法を組み合わせ、Arendt-Buの周期解に対する作用素値積分掛け算作用素を応用し、流体方程式のみならず一般の非線形放物型及び非線形放物型―双曲型方程式系に対する周期解の理論を確立する。半線形方程式の場合には半群の理論に基づいたPoincare mapを用いた方法が知られているが、この方法は自由境界問題などのquasi-linearな方程式系では適用できない。周期解の存在に関する総合的・統一的な手法の開発を目指す。
3.ミクロの視点からの流体解析研究では、2017年度の研究を引き続き行い、理論形成の発展を目指す。
4.数値解析では、工学者と共同で熱変換工学への応用にも十分活用できる、アイソジオメトリック法を基盤とする自由境界問題の数値解法の構築を引き続き行うとともに、3の研究を基盤としてナヴィエ・ストークス方程式を歪対称のポアソン括弧と負定値対象の散逸括弧により定式化し、その構造を受けつぐ数値解法を開発し、粒子法を発展させる。これによりエネルギー保存則とエントロピー増大則を離散化後も厳密に満足する計算手法を確立することを目指す。
