Outline of Final Research Achievements

Before the project, we have only confirmed the inverse proportional relationship between scintillation and storage luminescence. Owing to the current research project, we confirm that the remaining portion of energy is converted to thermal energy.

従来、シンチレータとドシメータは別々な現象として取り扱われ、別々のコミュニティで発展してきたが、これらはエネルギー保存という基礎的な物理法則の下で、統一的に扱える可能性がある事を示した。特に光に変換されていないエネルギーは、熱に変換されている事を定性的に示した。
