Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本調査研究の目的は、Rb-Sr系、Sm-Nd系などの天然の放射壊変系同位体の分析を、熱水鉱床、堆積鉱床などの多様な鉱床に適用し、得られた同位体初生値と年代値に基づいて鉱床成因解析を行うことである。具体的には、大陸縫合帯であるイラン国内における火成活動と鉱床生成の関連性を明らかにするため、ザグロス山脈北西部およびアルボルズ山脈西部を対象に現地調査を行い、鉱石、鉱床母岩、貫入火成岩などの化学分析・同位体分析を実施し、新しい同位体地化学探査の実用化を目指した。
最終年度の2020年度はコロナ禍のため現地調査を実施できなかったが、イラン側の研究協力者とメール会議、オンライン会議を行いながら、これまでに採取した岩石・鉱石試料の追加分析、学会発表、論文執筆を実施した。具体的な実施内容は、イラン北西部ザグロス造山帯の始新世花崗岩類（マリバン地域）の成因解析、白亜紀花崗岩体（ゴルベ地域）のベリル鉱床と鉱床母岩の成因解析、第三紀・第四紀の火山岩類（タカブ地域、サハンド地域）と石灰質沈殿岩の化学組成、同位体組成の対比による地下深部流体の役割の検討、などである。マリバン地域の花崗岩類については、野外調査データ、鉱物組成、Sr-Nd同位体初生値、微量元素組成とジルコン年代の解析を詳細に行い、プレート衝突に伴う始新世のマグマ活動の新たなモデルを提示し、論文に公表した。この時期のマグマ活動はザグロス造山帯北西部のスカルン鉱床などの成因解析の重要な手掛かりとなるものであり、本調査研究最終年度の重要な成果の1つである。また、ベリル鉱床とその鉱床母岩の化学組成、同位体組成、形成年代の詳細な対比から、マグマ分化とベリル鉱石の晶出の密接な関係性が見出された。いずれの研究成果も、Sr、Ndなどの同位体分析が起源物質の特定に大きく貢献しており、同位体地化学探査の実用化に繋がるものである。
